@Mrs. Lorraine Koch Yao was born in the USA. She married a Japanese citizen
and has been living in Japan for more than 26 years. She has continued
to teach English for many years, all the while living in a four generation
family. She talked about gEnglish Education in Japan hand gThe Aging Societyh
in English, which was translated by our Lounge staff. The participants
who filled the meetng room were captivated by her frank way of speaking,
her presonality and a sense of humor.

@Mrs. Lorraine Koch Yao believes that task-based learning is the way to
improve students' joy of learning English and to become autonomous learners.
And on gThe Aging Societyh, she encourages aging Japanese people, and gThe
Mature Majorityh in America, whose society has become one of ageing societies
to: respect all people; put their talents to good use and to let everyone
benefit from the never ending resource of people from all age groups and
forms.
