平成14年度「外国人による日本語スピーチ大会」が青葉国際交流ラウンジのある区役所別館２階大会議室で１１月１６日（土）の午後２時３０分から４時３０分に開催されました。
Speeches in Japanese by Foreign Residents was held at the Conference Room of Aoba Ward Office Annex Bldg, where Aoba Int'l Lounge is located, from 2:30 p.m. on Saturday November 16, 2002.
地域に住む外国人が日本での暮らしのなかで、感じたり、考えたりしていることや、自国のことなどを日本語で話すこの大会は、今年はラウンジまつりのなかで行なわれました。
This event, speeches by foreign residents living in regional community on how and what they think about daily life in Japan and their own countries, was held as one of programs of Lounge Festival 2002.

約１８０名の聴衆は熱心に出場者のスピーチに聞き入っていました。出場者は、６ヶ国１０名（小学生の部３名、一般の部７名）で、それぞれの思いを発表しました。
Audience of about 180 poeple seemed much impressed with speeches made by 10 speakers from 6 countries (including 3 primary school children).


最優秀賞には、スリランカ出身で在日６ヶ月のニロージャ・サンジーワニーさんが「わたしのあいする　ふたつのくに」で、
会場の参加者が選ぶ会場審査員賞は、台湾出身、在日１年６ヶ月の高校生チェン・ハオウェイ君が「一軒のラーメン屋から見た日本人」で選ばれました。
The Best Speech Award was presented to Ms Nirosha Sanjeewani for her speech titled "Two Countries I Love". She is from Sri Lanka and has been in Japan for 6 months. The Audience Award was prented to Mr. Chen Howey for his speech titled "Japanese People Observed at a Lahmen Shop". He is a high school student from Taiwan, working part time at a lahmen shop. He has been in Japan for one yaar and 6 monts.

審査員による審査のあいだには、南米音楽のグループ「アヤナ」のみなさんの民族楽器のケーナ、チャランゴ、ギターによるすばらしい演奏がありました。
The group of "AYANA" presented to the audience superb folk music of South America playing traditional instruments such as Quena and Charango during intermission for scoring works among judges..
